Our research in founding this company has led us to discover some grave truths about the manufacturing processes involved in the sex toy industry. These facts are not common knowledge because there are no laws as yet for adult product manufacturing materials, and there is hardly any existing media exposure on the subject.

Chemicals

The manufacture of plastics involves the inclusion of a variety of chemicals, which are often toxic if absorbed by us. PVC is a plastic used in the manufacture of many toys. PVC contains phthalates which are harmfully toxic chemicals. When we are in contact with these plastic products, the heat from lipids in our skin and flesh draws out the toxins in the plastic over time, leading to exposure in our bodies, and intimate areas. These chemicals are linked to cancer, infertility and disease. This will be a shocking realisation for most of us. The toys we sell at Organic Pleasures are PVC and phthalate-free. Ours are made from: medical grade silicone, medical grade metals, borosilicate glass, wood, ceramic.
